The TBIBA is pleased to announce that the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has chosen Thunder Bay as its host for the 2017 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup. Participation from all baseball playing regions of the world, namely Asia, the South Pacific, Africa, Europe, North America, Central America (Caribbean) and South America is expected. The biennial event will take place over eleven days in late August concluding on the Labour Day weekend in September, 2017.

Volunteers are important for the success of events. Thunder Bay Volunteers are top notch, passionate about baseball, talented and committed!

Right now there is a dedicated team of volunteer board members in the initial planning stages. Soon they will be looking for talented individuals to take lead roles in logistics, volunteer co-ordination. marketing and sponsorship etc.

The Thunder Bay International Baseball Association is dedicated to enhancing baseball in Thunder Bay. Along with bringing world class events to the city, the TBIBA makes funds available to local groups through an application process.
